i thought it's been too long since i've submitted something here.. this time a piece in a more cartoonish manner than my other latest pieces.. i still love both styles (stylised and more realistic) and both in my work and in my personal illustrations i experiment a lot with them..
anyway, this is NOT a strictly personal piece, it's a piece for .PSD Photoshop magazine for an article and tutorial about Painter X, so I'd really appreciate if you'll refraing from using it or I'll be forced to put those awful, big watermarks.
my second job for .PSD Magazine, polish edition, done (obviously) all in Painter X.
i have to say i like the colors here, so vivid. btw, the repetetive fishes are part of the tutorial matters, so spare me the comments about it, please
p.s. oh how i love DA for introducing Illustration category finally!!

The eyes of the character are mesmerizing as are the colors. I fell in love with fish poetry by ~vinegar and I bet you will too ! (Featured by `nighty)
This is amazing, the face, eyes, and hair are striking. The colors are insanely cool, the brown outlining is what really makes the face stand out I think, all the detail is great, like the whole picture!

anyway, as for the colors - i agree.. i do love such vivid sets actually, but somehow they never make it to my finished art placed here, i don't actually know why.. i hope my next pieces will have some more intresting palettes
and yeah, i do LOTS of different things, in fact too many commercial crap, so i had no time to finish properly something i could feel fits into my gallery lately :/
absolutely gorgeous - i love the colors and the layers in this piece!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
